Urgent Plea for Justice: Tibetan Youth Congress Exposes China’s Ongoing Cultural and Political Domination, Calls for Global Action
The Tibetan Youth Congress has issued a stern warning against trusting China, pointing to its historical patterns of expansionism and aggression. The organization accuses China of maintaining cultural, political, and social domination along the Tibet-India border after its full annexation of Tibet in 1969, a nation once independent.
Highlighting China’s ongoing ambitions, the Youth Congress claims that efforts to control the strategic Himalayan valley persist. While Indian military forces have withdrawn from parts of the Arunachal Pradesh-China border, India still faces significant costs to ensure regional security.
The Congress has also raised alarms regarding China’s diversion of the Brahmaputra River through dam construction, a move that presents environmental and geopolitical risks for India and other downstream nations.
On November 21, a Tibetan Youth Congress delegation arrived in Tezpur, following a nationwide awareness journey spanning 20 states and approximately 20,000 kilometers. Starting from Bumla in Arunachal Pradesh, the group has called upon the Indian government and international organizations to urgently address these concerns to ensure regional stability.
