Exciting Milestone: Nitin Gadkari Thrills Bihar with Inauguration of Crucial 4-Lane Highway in Gaya

Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways, Nitin Gadkari, is set to visit Bihar on Thursday for a one-day program. The highlight of his visit is the inauguration of part 3 of the 4-lane Rajauli-Bakhtiyarpur highway, a significant infrastructure endeavor under the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI), completed at a staggering cost of approximately Rs 3,700 crore. Additionally, he will lay the foundation stone for the Rajauli-Bakhtiyarpur Package 1, estimated to cost Rs 300 crore. The inauguration of the Gaya-Dobhi-Patna four-lane National Highway 83 and the associated toll plaza is expected to take place during his visit.

This visit underscores the government’s commitment to boosting Bihar’s infrastructure, particularly by enhancing road connectivity. During his stay, Gadkari will also engage in the 22nd session of the Bihar Economic Council hosted by Magadh University at the Mahabodhi Cultural Center in Bodh Gaya, focusing on economic discussions pertinent to Bihar’s growth.

Arriving at Gaya airport by a special flight from Nagpur, Gadkari’s itinerary includes visits to religious sites such as the Mahabodhi and Vishnupad Temples, where he will offer prayers. He is also slated to pay respects at a statue of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar and visit the Mahabodhi Society in Bodhgaya.

To ensure the smooth execution of the events, meticulous preparations have been made. District officials, including District Magistrate Dr. Tyag Rajan, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Ashish Bharti, and City Superintendent of Police (CSP) Prerna Kumar, have inspected the venues with a strong security apparatus in place. An elaborate setup, including a ‘pandal’, has been established for the events, ensuring robust traffic management and comprehensive security measures, as declared by SSP Ashish Bharti. This visit signals a pivotal step towards advancing Bihar’s infrastructure and economic dialogue.
