The Bengaluru civic authority has facilitated the acquisition of final e-khatas for property owners through BangaloreOne centres, effective from Monday, November 11. Residents need to present several documents including property tax receipts, sale deeds, Aadhaar cards for all owners, and utility bills from Bescom and BWSSB. Additionally, layout or site approval from the BDA, building plan approvals, DC conversion certificates, and any allotment letters from BDA, KHB, or other government bodies are required if available. These documents will be scanned on-site and returned to the applicants, with a service fee of ₹45 and an extra ₹5 for each page scanned. Once the e-Khata certificate is ready for printing, an additional fee of ₹125 is payable to BBMP.
For those without an Aadhaar card, the BBMP provides an alternative route through the Assistant Revenue Officer (ARO) offices in the respective property jurisdictions. Here, applicants must submit alternative IDs (passport, driving license, or voter ID) and a photograph in place of the Aadhaar card; visiting the ARO office in person is mandatory. All other document requirements remain unchanged.
This initiative simplifies the process for Bengaluru’s property owners seeking e-khata certifications, enhancing accessibility and efficiency.
