In a startling incident in Delhi, two sisters intruded into the residence of former Uttar Pradesh DSP Ashok Sharma, attacking him and his family with a knife. The sisters, Chhavi Jain (21) and Bhavya Jain (23), reportedly entered Sharma’s home at the Anekant Apartments on November 1 after a heated dispute over car honking in Vasundhara Enclave. The confrontation, captured on CCTV, escalated after Sharma, a cancer patient, requested the women to stop honking, leading to the damage of his flower pots and an initial altercation on Friday night. Although Sharma sustained minor injuries, other residents who attempted to intervene were also hurt.
The situation further intensified when police arrived, as the sisters retreated into their apartment and later attempted a bold escape. This reckless move involved hitting a scooter rider, dragging him along a few metres, crashing into a police PCR van, and damaging the society’s gate barrier. Four FIRs have been filed at the New Ashok Nagar police station, charging the sisters under various sections of the Indian Penal Code for their aggressive actions. The duo, known for prior confrontational incidents, was eventually apprehended in Noida, concluding the dramatic series of events.
