Tragic Outrage: Student’s Life Cut Short Defending Female Classmates’ Privacy
A 21-year-old student named Punith, from a private college in Bengaluru, tragically died after being attacked by a group of individuals at a farmhouse near Ramanagara. The incident occurred on October 26 when Punith objected to a group of youths taking unauthorized photos and videos of his female classmates who were swimming in the farmhouse pool during a vacation. A confrontation ensued, leading to Punith being assaulted with a wooden log, causing critical head injuries. He was hospitalized but succumbed to his injuries three days later.
In response to the incident, Ramanagara police registered a case of murder and swiftly apprehended the suspects—Chandru, Nagesh, and Murali from Honnapura. The arrests were made following a detailed investigation based on a complaint lodged against them. The police are continuing to probe the case to ensure justice is served.
This distressing incident underscores the persistent issues of privacy violations and violence, highlighting the importance of respecting personal boundaries and upholding the law. Published – November 03, 2024, 10:13 pm IST.
