Shocking Heist in Jaipur: Hypnotized Woman Falls Victim to Daring Robbery
A woman in Jaipur was allegedly robbed of her gold chain and ring after being hypnotized by two men at her residence, according to police reports on Saturday. The incident occurred on October 24 at Samridhi Apartment. The two men reportedly gained entry to the residential society under the guise of collecting donations. Once the woman stepped out of her flat, the men allegedly hypnotized her and escaped with her jewelry. Deputy Commissioner of Police Digant Anand stated that the suspects, identified as Jasvir alias Sonu (34) and Dimple Singh (30), were arrested using CCTV footage. The stolen gold chain was recovered from them.
In a similar incident in September, a man in Delhi was allegedly hypnotized and robbed of ₹98,000 by three individuals he met on social media. The victim reported being kidnapped and forced to transfer money to various accounts. The police registered an FIR following his report, leading to the arrest of the suspects identified as Vinay (24), Naveen (24), Rohit (24), and Akash (22) through CCTV evidence. Vinay and Naveen were employed by a food delivery service, while Akash was a laborer, and Rohit was unemployed. Police recovered ₹27,000 of the stolen money.
Deputy Commissioner of Police Jimmy Chiram revealed during interrogation that the accused used social media friendship applications to target and defraud individuals. Vinay admitted to deceiving others to retrieve a gold chain from a finance company, while Naveen needed funds to pay motorcycle installments.
These incidents highlight an alarming trend of criminals using deceitful methods to hypnotize and rob unsuspecting victims. The authorities’ swift action and use of technology, like CCTV footage, have been crucial in apprehending the suspects and recovering some of the stolen items.
