Historic Alliance: BJP, Tipra Matha, & IPFT Unite for a Groundbreaking Victory in Village Committee Elections!
Pradyot Kishore Debbarman, the founder of the Tipra Matha party and Member of the District Council (MDC), announced a strategic alliance among the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Tipra Matha, and the Indigenous People’s Front of Tripura (IPFT) for the upcoming village committee elections in Tripura. This decision was made public following Debbarman’s meeting with the state Chief Electoral Officer on Thursday.
Earlier that day, Debbarman had discussions with Chief Minister Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha and officials from the State Election Commission, where he pressed for the prompt organization of the village council elections. Debbarman remarked on the critical need to conduct these elections swiftly to facilitate the development of the Tiprasa community, highlighting their significance for local progress.
A significant element of Debbarman’s appeal was the inclusion of voters from the 13 Bru refugee camps in the state’s electoral rolls. He expressed his commitment to ensuring their enfranchisement by reaching out to the Chief Electoral Officer to ensure these residents are registered as voters.
Debbarman underscored the importance of political unity, advocating for a joint electoral effort by the BJP, Tipra Matha, and IPFT. He believes that such a coalition is vital for the state’s development, emphasizing that collaborative efforts among these parties can drive substantial progress in Tripura.
This strategic alignment is poised to reshape the electoral landscape of the village committees, highlighting the potential of coalition politics in addressing community-specific needs and fostering regional advancement.
