Two women were apprehended following the seizure of heroin valued at Rs 22.7 lakh near Aizawl in Mizoram, according to a statement from the Assam Rifles. Acting on credible intelligence, a coordinated operation was executed by Assam Rifles and the Mizoram Police in Maubawk village, where they confiscated 32.4 grams of heroin from the women. One suspect is a local resident of Maubawk, while the other hails from Churachandpur district in Manipur. Both individuals, along with the recovered contraband, have been handed over to the Special Narcotics Police Station, CID (Crime) in Aizawl for further investigation.
