Globally, countries face a critical decision in choosing between U.S. or Chinese AI partnerships. With established alliances with Canada, Australia, and France, the U.S. is exploring partnerships with “geopolitical swing states” that exhibit substantial capital and a tendency to lean towards China. This is especially relevant in the Middle East, where oil-rich nations like the UAE, Qatar, and Saudi Arabia are leveraging their financial resources to diversify their economies by investing in AI, aligning with the global trend. These nations, guided by youthful and dynamic leadership, are poised to establish themselves as significant players in the AI revolution, having expressed a firm intent not to miss out, unlike previous industrial shifts.
