Thrilling Triumph: Sainik School Goalpara Hosts Prestigious All India Inter School Quiz Finals
Guwahati: As a centerpiece of its Diamond Jubilee celebrations, Sainik School Goalpara, in partnership with Trident Brandcom, hosted the grand finale of the All India Inter-School Quiz Competition. This event, held at the school auditorium on a vibrant Saturday, showcased stellar displays of intellect by some of India’s sharpest young minds. The event was graced by the esteemed Principal, Col Y S Parmar, Sena Medal, as the Chief Guest, enhancing the prestige of the occasion.
Beginning with an elimination round on August 13 and 14, 2024, the quiz saw enthusiastic participation from 74 teams across different schools in India. From these, 12 teams progressed to the semi-finals on August 22, 2024, and ultimately, six outstanding teams contended in the grand final. The finalists included Army Public Schools from Kanpur, Bolarum, Jorhat, Barrackpore, and Dhaula Kuan, as well as Sainik School, Amethi.
Emerging triumphant, Army Public School, Kanpur clinched the championship trophy and a Rs 20,000 cheque, presented by the Chief Guest. Army Public School, Dhaula Kuan secured the second spot with a Rs 15,000 cheque, while Army Public School, Bolarum, claimed third place, earning Rs 10,000. All participants were honored with ‘Certificates of Merit’ in recognition of their remarkable performance.
The Chief Guest praised the winners’ achievements and commended all participants for their hard work and teamwork. He highlighted the vital role such competitions play in nurturing knowledge, confidence, and leadership in youth, encouraging them to excel continuously.
Culminating the day, the Diamond Jubilee celebration reached a cultural peak with a captivating musical concert featuring noted Indian classical artists Pandit Ronu Majumdar and Subhojyoti Guha, under SPICMACAY. Their performance enchanted the audience, infusing a soulful rhythm into the grand event.
