Arunachal Shock: IRBn Personnel Arrested in Seijosa for Missing Firearm and Ammunition – Uncover the Alarming Truth!
Three individuals, including two members of the India Reserve Battalion (IRBn), have been arrested following the disappearance of a firearm and ammunition from a central Kote facility in Arunachal Pradesh. The incident was brought to light when an FIR was lodged at Seijosa police station on October 21.
Superintendent of Police at Pakke-Kessang, Tasi Darang, reported that the theft involved a 9 mm pistol and 11 live rounds from the 3rd IRBn Battalion Headquarters. Prompted by these revelations, an investigative team led by Inspector Sang Thinley, under SP Darang’s supervision, swiftly took action.
Within a few days, IRBn constables Phuntso Dondup, age 30, and Haricharan Boro, age 31, along with a civilian named Md Babul Ali, age 35, were apprehended. The investigation unearthed critical details, with the suspects leading police to Kekakuli village in Sonitpur district, where the stolen pistol was found concealed in a bush.
Further probing uncovered the 11 missing rounds hidden at Constable Boro’s rented home in Seijosa. Authorities have since successfully recovered all the stolen items.
The arrests and prompt recovery of the stolen weaponry underscore the effectiveness of the police’s rapid response and thorough investigation. This incident highlights the need for ongoing vigilance and security measures to prevent similar breaches in the future.
