Prasad from MR Peta Police Station and Sheikh Naseeruddin from II Town Police Station, along with two home guards, R. Venkata Trinadh and Ch. Siva Ganesh. The suspension follows their alleged involvement in extortion during a drunken driving checkpoint on Beach Road on October 17. According to a city police release, the four personnel threatened individuals caught driving under the influence with legal action unless they paid bribes. An auto-rickshaw driver was reportedly used in the scheme to facilitate the extortion.
