Shocking Revelation: Justin Trudeau Admits Canada’s Lack of Evidence Against India in Nijjar Killing Case
In a deepening diplomatic row between India and Canada, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau asserted that there are “clear indications” of India violating Canadian sovereignty concerning the murder of pro-Khalistani activist Hardeep Singh Nijjar. During a foreign interference inquiry, Trudeau acknowledged that while he hadn’t provided India with hard evidence of Nijjar’s killing, he proposed a joint investigation into the situation.
Following accusations by Canadian authorities that India supported criminal activities targeting Canadians, ties between the two countries have significantly deteriorated. In response, India emphatically denied links to criminal gangs, expelled six Canadian diplomats, and recalled its high commissioner and five other diplomats from Ottawa. Trudeau alleged that the Modi government had passed information through criminal organizations like the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, causing violence against Canadian citizens.
Despite seeking to question Indian diplomats regarding these claims, Trudeau noted they maintained diplomatic immunity, leading to their expulsion. He criticized India’s purported aggressive interference as a severe breach of sovereignty. Recognizing the critical trading relationship with India, Trudeau maintained that defending Canadian sovereignty remained paramount.
Amidst this tension, Liberal MP Sean Casey called for Trudeau’s resignation before upcoming elections, citing growing public dissatisfaction. As reported by CBC, Casey emphasized the increasing demand for leadership change, echoing sentiments that Canadians had reached their limit with the current administration.
