Victory for Justice: MUDA Commissioner Enforces Law as CM Siddaramaiah’s Wife Returns 14 Plots
**Mysuru, Oct 1: In a significant development, Mysuru Urban Development Authority (MUDA) Commissioner Raghunandan A.N. confirmed on Tuesday that a letter from Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah’s wife, Parvathy, has been received. The letter, presented by MLC Yathindra, officially submits the surrender of 14 sites allotted to Parvathy by MUDA. Commissioner Raghunandan stated that the case will be processed according to the law, despite recent distractions due to the Dasara festivities.
The 14 sites, located in Vijayanagar Phases 3 and 4, were initially allocated as compensation for the use of 3.16 acres of Parvathy’s land in Survey No. 464, without formal land acquisition. Addressing the media, Raghunandan assured that all necessary procedures and legalities will be followed in dealing with the petition. He also mentioned the cooperation sought by the Lokayukta and the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in the ongoing MUDA scam investigation, in which FIRs have been filed.
The scandal involves accusations against CM Siddaramaiah of misusing his authority for the improper allocation of the sites in Parvathy’s name. In her letter, Parvathy emphasized her willingness to return the plots and described her decision as driven by conscience, independent of her husband or other family members.
Parvathy addressed the accusations, claiming clouded political motives and reiterating her respect for her husband’s dignity and mental peace. She also requested a comprehensive investigation into the MUDA scam and urged the media and political figures to not involve women from political families in such controversies.
