HCLTech Employee Dies of Cardiac Arrest in Nagpur Office
Nagpur: A senior analyst at HCL Technologies Ltd., Nitin Edwin Michael, tragically passed away after suffering a cardiac arrest at the company’s Nagpur office. The 40-year-old was found unresponsive in the office washroom in the Mihan area around 7 PM on Friday.
Immediate emergency care was administered at the campus clinic before Michael was rushed to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Nagpur. Sadly, doctors at AIIMS pronounced him dead upon arrival, according to an official from the Sonegaon police station.
Authorities have sent the body for a post-mortem and classified the case as an accidental death. Preliminary autopsy findings confirm that Michael succumbed to cardiac arrest. Investigations are ongoing to understand the circumstances leading to his untimely demise.
Michael is survived by his wife and their six-year-old son. HCLTech expressed deep sorrow over the incident. A company spokesperson said, "This is an unfortunate incident and a tragic loss. We extend our deepest condolences to the family of the deceased employee and are providing all possible assistance to them."
The spokesperson emphasized that the wellbeing of employees is a top priority for HCLTech, highlighting that the company offers comprehensive healthcare programs, including on-campus clinics and annual preventive health checks.
