Ananya Panday’s Dream Mumbai Home Unveiled! Gauri Khan’s Girly 1,100-Sq-Ft Bandra Apartment Features Pink Accents, Natural Light & a Balcony
Ananya Panday’s Pink-Doored Mumbai Home Is a Chic Lesson in Growing Up
There are celebrity homes that merely fill rooms, and then there is Ananya Panday’s Bandra apartment: a 1,100-square-foot, pink-fluted coming-of-age story with baby-blue cabinetry and not a hint of impersonal showroom stiffness. The actor has opened her first Mumbai home to the cameras, and Architectural Digest’s glimpse suggests the real-estate headline is only the smaller drama.
Located just a few floors from her parents, Chunky and Bhavana Panday, the apartment gives Ananya proximity without living under the familiar roof. A pink entrance door opens into a corridor lined with pink fluted walls; echoes of the colour continue in her bedroom and walk-in wardrobe. “It has become a symbol and metaphor for me actually growing up and taking responsibility,” she told Architectural Digest in 2025. Yes, the walls are blush, but the meaning is decidedly grown-up.
Gauri Khan Designs was the natural architect of this life chapter. Already the designer of several Bollywood homes and a longtime family friend, Khan was an easy choice. Ananya says she barely needed to issue a grand brief. “Honestly, I didn’t have to say much to her because I’ve grown up around her and she’s been like another mother to me,” she said. In Bollywood, that sentence carries considerable weight: family trust is often the invisible wire behind the most polished interiors.
The public rooms are calmer-beige, cream and softly layered with textured walls, wallpapers, rugs, fluted details and custom-made furniture. Mirrors around the living and dining areas catch the daylight and keep the relatively compact flat from feeling boxed in. Nothing shouts “money”; everything quietly says, “This was carefully considered.”
The apartment’s most convincing performance comes from its windows and balcony. Bandra’s leafy lanes supply natural light, indoor plants add freshness, and the living room doubles as a relaxed spot for entertaining. Ananya’s favourite corner, however, is near the balcony, where she can sit for hours with the window open. Afternoon sunlight filtering through the glass, she revealed, throws little rainbows across the room. For a city constantly rehearsing glamour, that unscripted light is rather good casting.
The practical side is equally charming. Baby-blue shelves and white counters brighten the compact, baking-friendly kitchen, while the living room includes a television zone and a growing collection of books. The home reflects the woman Ananya imagined becoming while still discussing cutlery and the art of hosting: personal, playful and pleasantly unforced.
Yet the most important transformation is emotional. At first, Ananya jokes, she wanted the place kept like a museum-apparently even museums need more visitors. Living alone eventually taught her the value of silence and solitude. She began inviting friends and family, discovering that a home feels less complete when merely preserved and more alive when inhabited. That, friends, is the real renovation.
On work, Ananya was last seen in the romantic drama Chand Mera Dil, opposite Lakshya and produced by Dharma Productions. She is also slated to appear in Call Me Bae Season 2 with Vir Das, Varun Sood, Gurfateh Pirzada, Vihaan Samat and Muskkaan Jaferi. Season 1 premiered on Amazon Prime on 6 September 2024.
