Lava will officially unveil two new budget-focused phones, the Virat V1 5G and the standard Virat V1, on July 24, with both models slated for exclusive sale on Flipkart. The company has already disclosed the headline specifications ahead of the launch, giving buyers an early look at features aimed at the value-conscious segment.
The Virat V1 5G tops the pair with a 6.75-inch HD+ display that supports a 120Hz refresh rate for smoother scrolling and animations. It houses a large 6,000mAh battery and carries an IP64 rating for dust protection and splash resistance. Under the hood is a UNISOC T8200 chipset paired with 4GB of physical RAM and up to 4GB of additional virtual RAM (storage used to temporarily boost memory), plus 64GB of onboard storage. Camera hardware includes a 13MP AI-enabled dual rear camera and a 5MP front camera. Lava says the phone will ship with a clean Android experience free of ads and preinstalled bloatware. Color options are Arya Blue and Sonar Gold.
The standard Virat V1 shares the same 6.75-inch HD+ display and camera setup (13MP dual rear, 5MP selfie), the same 4GB RAM with up to 4GB virtual RAM and 64GB storage, and the same ad-free Android build. It uses a UNISOC SC9863A processor and a slightly smaller 5,000mAh battery, while retaining the IP64 dust-and-splash resistance. It will be offered in Nilgiri Blue and Himalayan Silver finishes.
Beyond specifications, Lava is highlighting after-sales support as a differentiator: both phones will be eligible for the company’s Free Service@Home programme, which allows qualifying customers to get servicing without visiting a service centre. Pricing information will be revealed at the July 24 launch event ahead of the Flipkart exclusive sale.
