The inaugural edition of The Green Room Project will take place on May 24, beginning at 5:00 PM, at Kohima Ridge Eco Park, organisers announced on May 22. The one-day event aims to showcase emerging musical talent alongside established acts, with Divine Connection scheduled as the headliner and local band Flying Arcades making their debut. Pink Eye from Dimapur will also perform.
Described by organisers as a collaborative platform, The Green Room Project intends to help upcoming solo artists and bands develop their craft through performance opportunities, mentorship and community engagement. The initiative seeks to strengthen the local music scene by creating regular spaces where newer musicians can connect with seasoned artists and audiences.
The first edition’s lineup highlights that mission: Flying Arcades will make their first public appearance, Pink Eye will bring youthful energy from Dimapur, and Divine Connection — a well-known name in the region’s music circuit — will close the show. Performances are scheduled to run from the evening into the night, offering a mix of emerging voices and familiar acts.
Tickets are available online at OnCue.in and at the venue. General admission is priced at Rs. 500, while student tickets are Rs. 300; students must present a valid ID to receive the concession. Organisers say the project will continue beyond this event as an ongoing effort to mentor and promote local musicians.
