1) Edge vs. Cloud: a pragmatic hybrid, not a mantra
This update illustrates a pragmatic architectural trade-off: keep lightweight vision and UX logic on-device while using cloud models for scale and accuracy. That’s sensible-cloud models handle long-tail classes and frequent updates better-but it creates dependencies (connectivity, latency, egress costs, model versioning) that product teams must own.
