MBOSE HSSLC 2026 Results Declared — Check Official Scores Now
Guwahati: The Meghalaya Board of School Education (MBOSE) announced the 2026 Higher Secondary School Leaving Certificate (HSSLC) results on May 4, 2026, after examinations held between February 18 and March 13, 2026. Thousands of students across the state received their scores on the day of the release.
Overall pass percentages were strong across streams: Arts 88.63%, Commerce 87.49%, Science 83.70%, and Vocational the highest at 95.23%.
Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma congratulated the students on social media, writing: “Your hard work, discipline, and determination have brought you to this important milestone. This achievement reflects not only your efforts, but also the unwavering support of your parents, teachers, and institutions.”
The Science stream proved fiercely competitive. Dechro M. Marak of Don Bosco College (Hr. Sec. Section), Tura, topped the list with 472 marks — the highest score across the three main academic streams — a notable achievement for a student from outside Shillong, which usually dominates the merit lists.
Amos Chinminlun of St. Anthony’s Higher Secondary School, Shillong, secured second in Science with 470, while Vishal Rai of Laban Bengalee Boys’ Hr. Sec. School, Shillong, was third with 464. Dauniwan Sajem (St. Anthony’s) was fourth with 461. Lydia Mary Jala, Eshratara Begum and Aime Azora G. Momin tied for the tenth spot in Science with 449 each.
In Arts, Meghashree Roy of St. Mary’s Higher Secondary School, Shillong, topped the stream with 457 marks. Joziah Daman Laloo of St. Anthony’s followed with 452, and Nakisakahuni M. Pakyntein of the same school took third with 446. Two students — K. Gwyneth Wanrilang Rymbai (St. Edmund’s Higher Secondary School) and Mewarica Pariat (North Liberty Higher Secondary School, Mookyrdoop-Jowai) — shared the tenth spot in Arts with 431, with Pariat’s place notable for breaking Shillong’s usual hold on the top ranks.
Priya Ghosh of St. Edmund’s Higher Secondary School, Shillong, topped Commerce with 458 marks. St. Anthony’s candidates Ankita Das and Rishika Debnath placed second and third with 453 and 452 respectively. Several St. Anthony’s students featured in the Commerce top 10, while three St. Mary’s students — Vivian Wanshai Laloo, Trisha Bhattacharjee and Bachina Lyngdoh — shared the seventh spot with 441.
Institutions-wise, St. Anthony’s Higher Secondary School, Shillong, emerged as the highest-performing school across the streams, with St. Mary’s and St. Edmund’s also featuring prominently. Out-of-town schools that made the merit lists include North Liberty Higher Secondary School (Mookyrdoop-Jowai) and Don Bosco College, Tura.
Students dissatisfied with their marks may apply for re-evaluation within two weeks of the results announcement; the process is expected to conclude by the fourth week of June 2026. Results can be accessed using roll numbers on megresults.nic.in and mbose.in.
