
Arunachal CM Appoints 461 CSLE 2025 Recruits, Celebrates Merit
Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu on April 17, 2026, in Itanagar felicitated and handed over appointment orders to 461 successful candidates of the Combined Secondary Level Examination (CSLE) 2025, underlining the state government’s push for a transparent, merit-based recruitment system. The ceremony marked the formal induction of new Group C and D staff across the state administration.
A total of 47,132 candidates had contested the highly competitive examination conducted by the Arunachal Pradesh Staff Selection Board (APSSB), which filled posts across 26 departments, including seven Deputy Commissioners’ offices. Khandu congratulated the appointees, attributing their success to hard work, dedication and perseverance, and acknowledged the role of family support in their achievement.
The Chief Minister praised the APSSB for maintaining fairness and integrity in recruitment, noting that the board has become a key institution in strengthening governance and has earned ISO certification for its systems. He said reforms introduced under his leadership have created a level playing field where merit and competence determine selection.
Emphasising the importance of public servants, Khandu described government employees as the backbone of governance charged with delivering services to citizens. He expressed confidence that the newly inducted workforce would help build a more efficient, responsive and people-centric administration.
Highlighting a notable outcome, Khandu pointed out that candidates from the Arunachal Pradesh Scheduled Tribe (APST) category secured 39 unreserved seats in the general category, reflecting growing competitiveness among local aspirants. He also announced that the state government will introduce reservation provisions for Agniveer recruits after they complete their tenure.
Calling on the recruits to uphold high standards of public service, the Chief Minister urged them to act with compassion, humility and professionalism. He encouraged adaptation to emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence and machine learning and said the government plans to introduce technology-driven training modules.
Reaffirming the administration’s commitment to good governance, Khandu stressed that merit, hard work and honesty remain non-negotiable and expressed confidence that the new recruits will contribute toward the vision of a developed Arunachal by 2047.
