Manipur Chief Minister Y. Khemchand Singh on Tuesday condemned a rocket attack in Tronglaobi Awang Leikai, Moirang, that killed two children and injured their mother, and said he had rushed to Raj Polyclinic in the early hours to personally assess the survivor’s condition and ensure she received immediate care. He directed authorities to provide “the highest standard of medical care and all necessary support” to the injured woman.

Terming the incident an “outright assault on humanity,” Singh called the attack a deliberate attempt to derail the hard‑earned peace in Manipur and said he condemned the act “in the strongest possible terms.” The chief minister’s comments underline the gravity of the strike and its impact on civilians in the area.

Singh issued a stern warning to those responsible, saying they would not evade justice. “Let there be no doubt — those behind this crime will be identified, hunted down, and dealt with firmly under the law,” he said, adding that such acts of terror would not be tolerated under any circumstances.

Reaffirming his government’s commitment to public safety, the chief minister said his administration “stands resolute in protecting every citizen and will take all necessary measures to ensure that peace, order, and stability are not compromised.” He emphasized that state machinery would act decisively to restore security.

Singh also appealed for communal unity, urging residents of Manipur to remain united against forces that seek to disturb collective harmony. His visit and statements signal a swift official response aimed at both medical relief and law‑and‑order action following the deadly attack.
