PM Modi in Dibrugarh: Two Crucial Rallies That Could Shape Assam
Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Dibrugarh on March 31, 2026, ahead of a series of election rallies for the Assam Assembly polls and will spend the night at Manohari Resorts in Mohanbari, officials said. The visit is part of the BJP’s intensified campaign in the state as polling approaches.
Modi is scheduled to address two public meetings on April 1, 2026, in support of BJP candidates from the Dhemaji, Lakhimpur and Biswanath constituencies. The first rally will be held at Gogamukh in Dhemaji district at 11:00 am, after which the Prime Minister will travel to Behali in Biswanath district to speak at a second rally at 1:00 pm.
Party leaders said the rallies are expected to draw large crowds, reflecting heightened election activity as the BJP steps up campaigning across Assam. Officials coordinated the Prime Minister’s overnight stay and travel between venues to accommodate the tight schedule.
After completing his engagements in Assam on April 1, 2026, the Prime Minister is scheduled to return to New Delhi later the same day.
