Karur MP Unleashes Fury on TNCC High Command Over Seat-Sharing Betrayal!
Karur Congress MP S. Jothimani has voiced her concerns regarding the lack of transparency from the Tamil Nadu Congress Committee (TNCC) during ongoing seat-sharing negotiations with the DMK ahead of the upcoming Assembly elections. In a post on X, Jothimani emphasized that party leaders must be attuned to the sentiments of the cadre, stating, “We are thoroughly disappointed and disgusted.” Her frustration stems from reports that the Congress party may not secure the Vedasandur Assembly Constituency, a seat that she has advocated for during her tenure.
Jothimani highlighted the hard work put into building support in the Vedasandur region over the years, expressing that the party’s success hinges on winning this constituency. “Only when the Congress candidate gets the seat, there will be jubilation all around,” she declared, underscoring the emotional investment the local party members have in this electoral battle.
The discontent isn’t limited to the Congress; BJP members in Palani, located in Dindigul district, also expressed their frustration following announcements about constituency allocations. After learning that the Palani Assembly seat would not be allotted to them under the NDA, local BJP cadres staged a brief protest by blocking a road, shouting slogans to make their grievances known. They argued that the BJP high command should have prioritized constituencies that host significant religious sites, including Palani, which they believe should have been part of their portfolio.
Similar frustrations were echoed concerning the Thirupparankundram constituency in Madurai, which has been retained by the AIADMK, prompting further discontent among BJP supporters. As the political landscape in Tamil Nadu continues to evolve ahead of the elections, both parties face growing pressure to address their supporters’ concerns and remain competitive in the electoral arena.
As negotiations proceed, the emphasis on transparency and communication with party members will be crucial in maintaining morale and support. The upcoming elections will undoubtedly serve as a critical litmus test for both the Congress and the BJP in Tamil Nadu, as they vie for control over key constituencies and address the aspirations of their supporters.
