Outside electoral politics, Dowari has led social organisations, served as president of Samaj Bikash Manch and founded the NGO Nabadeep Samay Bikash Manch, which is linked to BJP initiatives. He has also been active in addressing public grievances in Sivasagar beyond formal party structures.
AGP’s Pradip Hazarika brings significant electoral experience to the race. Hazarika has won the Assam Legislative Assembly seat from Amguri in 1985, 1996, 2006 and 2016, giving him an established voter base that could complicate calculations for both the BJP and the incumbent.
