Meghalaya’s Reble Stuns on Dhurandhar 2 Stage — Ranveer Singh Cheers
When Daiaphi Lamare — better known by her stage name Reble — took the stage at the music launch of Dhurandhar: The Revenge in Mumbai on the night of March 17, she did so not as a newcomer seeking a moment but as an artist who has already earned a place on some of Bollywood’s biggest soundtracks. The Meghalaya-born rapper features on “Aari Aari,” her second consecutive appearance in the Dhurandhar franchise, and the sequel is due in cinemas on March 19.
The evening’s standout moment came when actor Ranveer Singh, who plays undercover agent Jaskirat Singh Rangi in the film, visibly hyped Reble during her performance, cheering her on from the stage as the crowd erupted. Reble also shared a high-energy set with Jasmine Sandlas, who had sung “Shararat” for the first Dhurandhar, creating an electrifying joint performance that kept the audience on its feet.
Reble’s rise to this platform has been rapid. Born in Nangbah, West Jaintia Hills, Meghalaya, she discovered hip-hop as a child and has said the genre “made me feel like I could do something in life. Rap is freedom of speech.” Adopting the name Reble in 2019, she described the change as a way to separate herself from expectations and align with something “more honest.”
Her appearance in the first Dhurandhar in late 2025 proved a turning point. The spy thriller became one of the highest-grossing Hindi films in history, earning over Rs 1,300 crore worldwide, and Reble was featured on three songs — “Naal Nachna,” “Run Down The City – Monica,” and “Move – Yeh Ishq Ishq.” Her work on the remix “Run Down The City – Monica,” built on Asha Bhosle’s classic “Piya Tu Ab To Aja,” broadened her audience almost overnight.
Despite the publicity, Reble has remained measured about fame. “Dhurandhar happened out of nowhere. It’s amazing,” she said after the launch, and later with a laugh added, “I don’t think I am a DHH star. I am not there yet, but I hope to become one someday.” At the event, Singh thanked fans for the franchise’s reception, saying the team was “so humbled and grateful” and that anticipation for the sequel had “surpassed expectations” and was “unprecedented.”
Beyond commercial success, Reble has used her platform to advocate for representation from India’s Northeast, calling the region “seldom represented in mainstream media.” “I’m very proud of where I come from. I’m proud to be Indian, proud to be from the Northeast, and proud to be from Meghalaya. Representation, for me, should be organic and honest,” she said. Dhurandhar: The Revenge stars Ranveer Singh alongside an ensemble including Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt, R. Madhavan and Sara Arjun.
