Emotional Iranian TV Anchor in Tears Over Khamenei’s Death: ‘Revenge is Coming’ – Must-Watch Viral Clip!
An anchor from Iran’s state-run broadcaster broke down on live television while announcing the “martyrdom” of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei following a significant attack attributed to Israel and the United States. The network reported that Khamenei was killed in what Iranian officials characterized as an assassination. The visibly shaken anchor, Maryam Azarchehr, fought to maintain her composure as she delivered the heartbreaking news. Referring to Khamenei as the “Leader of the Islamic Revolution,” she warned viewers that “revenge is coming soon.”
Emotions ran high as Azarchehr proclaimed, “They will see what they have done,” reinforcing the urgency of the situation. Her poignant words resonated widely, and a clip of the broadcast quickly went viral. Azarchehr also paid tribute to Khamenei’s leadership, emphasizing his support for those oppressed in Palestine and Lebanon. “Today, those mourning him will be the orphans across the world,” she lamented, concluding with a reverent historical comparison by stating, “Imam Khamenei will go down in history as did Imam Ali.”
Press TV reported that Iran’s government issued a stern warning that the “crime of assassination of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution will not go unpunished,” claiming that the “pure blood of the martyred Leader will uproot the criminal regimes of the US and Israel.” According to Fars news agency, Khamenei was killed at his office while “performing his assigned duties” early Saturday morning.
Following the announcement, Iranian state television broadcasted visuals from the Imam Hussein Shrine in Karbala, where pilgrims mourned Khamenei’s death. In Tehran, large crowds gathered at Enghelab Square, holding portraits and chanting slogans in remembrance. In response, the Iranian government declared a 40-day period of public mourning, alongside seven days of public holidays.
Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, who ascended to the role of Iran’s supreme leader in 1989 after the death of Ruhollah Khomeini, played a pivotal role in the 1979 revolution that overthrew Shah Mohammad Reza Pahlavi. The 86-year-old leader held ultimate authority over both policy and religious matters, with the paramilitary Revolutionary Guard reporting directly to him. His tenure included overseeing numerous crackdowns on protests and asserting Iran’s readiness to retaliate against any perceived American aggression.
Reports indicated that one of the first US-Israel joint strikes on Saturday targeted an area near Khamenei’s offices. Iranian state television and the IRNA news agency confirmed the leader’s death on Sunday, just hours after former President Trump announced Khamenei’s demise during a joint operation. State media framed his passing as the “Martyrdom of the Guardian,” emphasizing it as a final sacrifice rather than a defeat, reinforcing Iran’s narrative of sovereignty and resistance.
As the nation grapples with the implications of Khamenei’s assassination, the atmosphere remains charged with grief and calls for retribution, signaling a potentially escalating conflict in the region.
