Amid a strong stock market performance, shares of small-cap IT company Blue Cloud Softech Solutions Ltd (BCSSL) surged by 15.03%, reaching Rs 20.82 on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE). This increase follows the company’s announcement that it will invest $1 billion in a phased manner to develop artificial intelligence (AI)-based, next-generation data centers and digital cloud infrastructure across India. The stock opened at Rs 19.25 and peaked at Rs 21.30 during trading hours.
BCSSL plans to create up to 800 megawatts of data center capacity, positioning itself among India’s leading digital infrastructure firms. The project aims to enhance India’s digital economy and national security while supporting scientific research and enterprise digitization. The rollout will feature hyperscale and AI-optimized data centers designed for machine learning, large AI models, and real-time analytics, as well as high-performance computing (HPC) and GPU clusters.
Additionally, BCSSL is set to establish secure cloud environments for government and defense institutions, ensuring compliance with Indian data protection regulations. The company emphasizes that its infrastructure will differ from traditional data centers by integrating AI-based automation, high-quality server racks, liquid cooling systems, energy efficiency measures, and built-in cybersecurity protocols.
The first phase is expected to launch in fiscal year 2026, pending regulatory approvals, with future expansions based on market demand. This initiative aims to generate stable long-term revenue, boost profitability, and reinforce India’s digital sovereignty.
