The Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Employment and Industrial Zone, announced on Uttar Pradesh Day, will serve as an integrated hub for training, skill development, employment, and entrepreneurship, according to the state government. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has instructed officials to swiftly identify suitable land across all districts for this ambitious project, which aims to directly connect industrial growth with job creation.
Adityanath emphasized that the state’s industrial policy is designed to foster an environment where youth can access a range of opportunities in skill development and entrepreneurship on one campus. The government anticipates that this proposed zone will significantly enhance integrated facilities related to industry, skill development, self-employment, and industrial support.
The initiative aims to streamline multiple services and departments at a single location, simplifying access for both entrepreneurs and job seekers. Adityanath has specifically highlighted efforts to promote micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), service-based industries, and innovation-driven sectors. The development will feature modern infrastructure, including plug-and-play units and flat factories, allowing entrepreneurs to initiate operations with minimal obstacles.
Officials have revealed that the project will encompass a range of facilities, including common service centers, testing labs, design and display centers, tool rooms, effluent treatment plants, and more. Additionally, the site will provide entrepreneurship training, mentorship, and information on various loan schemes aimed at supporting skill enhancement among youth.
The rollout of the scheme will occur in phases across all districts of Uttar Pradesh, with each Employment and Industrial Zone covering a minimum of 50 acres. The operational model is designed to facilitate self-employment and entrepreneurial training, skill development programs, internships, apprenticeships, and wage-based employment in related industries.
“The Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Employment and Industrial Zone will emerge as a vital center for employment, skill development, and entrepreneurship for the youth of the state,” Adityanath stated. He has called for expedited site identification and implementation to establish this initiative as a successful model for industrial advancement and job creation in Uttar Pradesh.
