JEE Mains 2026: Download Response Sheet & Answer Key Now!
The National Testing Agency (NTA) is set to release the provisional answer keys for the JEE Main session one by February 4. Candidates can download the answer keys and related documents from the official website, jeemain.nta.nic.in. An objection window will be available from February 4 to 5, allowing test-takers to raise issues regarding the answer keys. The results for the first session are expected to be announced on February 12.
The BTech and BE papers of JEE Main were conducted from January 21 to January 28. Overall, the difficulty of these papers was moderate, with varying levels across different shifts and subjects. Compared to last year’s sessions, most shifts were rated as easy to moderately difficult. However, several shifts saw the Mathematics section being perceived as moderately difficult.
The official cut-off for JEE Main will be declared by the NTA along with the final results after the second session concludes in April. In the previous year, the first session took place from January 22 to 30, during which 12 questions, primarily from Physics, were dropped in the final answer keys.
Throughout the examination period, the overall difficulty level remained moderate. Some shifts were slightly easier in subjects like Physics and Chemistry, while evening sessions presented lengthy and complex problems in Mathematics, elevating its challenge. Typically, morning shifts offered a more balanced experience compared to afternoon and evening shifts. Despite the variation in difficulty across the four-day exam, fluctuations in performance remained within expected parameters.
