Inaugural Run of Amrit Bharat Express: Timings and Stoppages Revealed!
A new Amrit Bharat Express is set to launch today, connecting Kolkata and New Delhi. This train aims to link vital industrial, cultural, and administrative centers across West Bengal, Bihar, Jharkhand, and Uttar Pradesh with the national capital, enhancing long-distance travel on one of India’s most trafficked corridors, the Howrah-Delhi route. Once operational, the train will run between Howrah and Anand Vihar Terminal (ANVT), covering a distance of 1,452 kilometers in approximately 27 hours and 40 minutes.
On its inaugural journey on January 18, the train will operate as number 03065, traveling from Santragachi to Anand Vihar. This special service will include numerous stops including key stations such as Howrah, Bandel, Barddhaman, Durgapur, and Asansol, among others, a total of 26 stops before its final destination in Delhi.
The inaugural departure is scheduled for 14:45 hrs from Santragachi, with stops at Howrah and Bandel before arriving at ANVT at 21:30 hrs the next day. This service is expected to significantly enhance accessibility to several prominent tourist and pilgrimage sites, such as the Kashi Vishwanath Temple, Mahabodhi Temple, and the historic monuments of Delhi.
By connecting major pilgrimage sites, heritage cities, and economic hubs with Delhi, the Kolkata-Anand Vihar Amrit Bharat Express is anticipated to boost tourism, promote trade, and support small businesses across the regions it serves. This initiative highlights the Indian Railways’ commitment to improving connectivity and fostering economic growth.
