Silchar is set to make history in India’s live entertainment scene by hosting the largest concert ever in Northeast India, with organizers anticipating an audience of over 100,000 people over two days. The highly anticipated event is scheduled for February 7 and 8, 2026, during the auspicious month of Makar and will feature prominent Bollywood artists, aiming to elevate concert capacity standards in the region. This event marks a significant milestone for the burgeoning concert landscape in the Northeast.
The concert is being organized by Aeroeast, which has branded the festival as a kickoff for the upcoming Kite Festival, scheduled to take place in Sonai, Silchar, in December 2026. According to the organizers, the February concert is expected to set the stage for a broader cultural and entertainment agenda planned for the area.
Aeroeast Production Studio, the driving force behind the event, recently collaborated with BookMyShow Live for an international concert featuring Post Malone. Based in Guwahati, Aeroeast Pvt Ltd is dedicated to enhancing large-scale live entertainment in the Northeast, aiming to explore the region’s emerging “concert economy.”
With its impressive scale, star-studded lineup, and anticipated turnout, the Silchar concert is poised to place Barak Valley prominently on India’s live music map. It is also expected to create new opportunities for tourism, hospitality, and the local economy.
