Massive After-Hours Moves: GM, INTC, and TLRY Ignite Trading Excitement!

In after-hours trading, several companies are making significant headlines, reflecting notable shifts in the market landscape. General Motors experienced a 2% decline in shares following its announcement in a regulatory filing. The Detroit automaker indicated it will recognize $7.1 billion in special charges for the fourth quarter of 2025, primarily linked to its strategic pullback from electric vehicle investments and ongoing restructuring efforts in China.

In contrast, Intel saw a positive uptick in its stock, rising 1.7% after a noteworthy endorsement from former President Donald Trump. On Thursday evening, Trump shared on Truth Social that he had a “great meeting” with Intel’s CEO, Lip-Bu Tan, expressing pride in the U.S. government’s 10% stake in the semiconductor giant, marking it as its largest shareholder since acquiring the stake last August.

Tilray Brands, a leader in consumer packaged goods and cannabis, reported impressive financial results that buoyed its stock by nearly 8%. For its fiscal second quarter, Tilray posted a record net revenue of $218 million, surpassing analysts’ predictions of $211 million, according to data compiled by LSEG. This growth underscores the company’s robust performance amid a competitive market.

Conversely, WD-40 faced a notable 9.6% decline in its stock following the release of its first-quarter earnings report. The household product manufacturer announced a net income of $17.5 million, reflecting an 8% decrease compared to the same period last year. However, the company maintained its full-year guidance, attributing the first-quarter dip to timing discrepancies within its distributor network rather than diminishing end-user demand. They remain optimistic about a strong rebound as the year progresses, indicating confidence in future performance.

As the market reacts to these developments, investors will be keenly observing how these companies navigate their respective challenges and opportunities moving forward.
