Personnel from the Ledo Police Outpost apprehended a suspected drug dealer, Deepak Mahato, during a targeted operation on the evening of December 28. In light of Mahato’s arrest, local residents have called on the police to ramp up their efforts against drug trafficking and to expedite the capture of Bablu Khan, who is reputed to be a notorious supplier in the Margherita Co-District. Police officials have stated that further investigations are underway to trace the drug supply chain and to identify additional individuals involved in this illegal trade.
