‘Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri,’ starring Kartik Aaryan and Ananya Panday, made its anticipated box office debut on Thursday, December 25, a shift from its original 2026 release date. This romantic comedy was expected to perform well on its first day, with early projections predicting a robust opening.
According to Sacnilk’s report, the film netted approximately ₹7.50 crore in India on its opening day, surpassing initial predictions that estimated a collection around ₹5 crore. Currently, the film’s net collections hover around ₹7 crore, while its gross total is said to have reached ₹9 crore.
The occupancy rates for ‘Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri’ were reported at 34.56% overall, with morning screenings attracting only 18.18% attendance, while evening shows were more successful, drawing in 40.23% of viewers.
Despite its holiday release, the film faced significant competition from the Hindi spy-thriller ‘Dhurandhar,’ which completed its third week in theaters. This film reportedly earned approximately ₹26 crore during its third week, showcasing its considerable box office strength. Additionally, ‘Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri’ had to compete against the Hollywood blockbuster ‘Avatar: Fire and Ash,’ which enjoyed a strong opening last weekend and garnered ₹13 crore on Thursday, marking one of its peak weekday collections.
In terms of Kartik Aaryan’s career, this film ranks among his top five highest openings. While he has seen several releases debuting below the ₹10 crore mark, his franchise films have recorded higher figures, such as ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’ (2024) with ₹36.60 crore and ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2’ (2022), which earned ₹14.11 crore. It remains to be seen whether the final figures for ‘Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri’ will surpass the ₹8.25 crore collected by ‘Satyaprem Ki Katha’ on its first day.
Directed by Sameer Vidwans, ‘Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri’ also features a strong supporting cast, including Neena Gupta, Jackie Shroff, Aruna Irani, and Tiku Talsania in significant roles.
