Assam Rifles Inspire NCC Cadets from Dima Hasao for Republic Day Prep
In a moment of pride for Assam’s Dima Hasao district, two girl cadets from Haflong Government College have earned their place at the prestigious Republic Day Camp (RDC) 2026. Senior Under Officer Archana Chetri and Senior Under Officer Sangeeta Kemparai were selected after successfully navigating a demanding competitive process that identifies the best NCC cadets across the country. Their achievement is a reflection of months of rigorous training, commitment, and dedication.
The cadets benefitted from the mentorship of trained instructors from the Assam Rifles, whose support was pivotal in honing their skills and performance. This accomplishment underscores the Assam Rifles’ ongoing dedication, not only to operational excellence but also to fostering talent and empowering youth, especially in remote and aspirational areas.
Being selected for the Republic Day Camp is regarded as the pinnacle of achievement for NCC cadets, granting them the opportunity to represent both their state and institution on a national stage during one of India’s most significant ceremonial events.
Officials emphasize that the Assam Rifles play a multifaceted role in the Northeast, extending beyond traditional security duties to actively contribute to social development, youth empowerment, and capacity building, particularly among young women.
As the two cadets prepare to march along Kartavya Path in New Delhi, they carry with them the hopes of their families and the pride of Dima Hasao. Their journey aims to inspire many young girls across the district and beyond to pursue excellence through discipline, service, and determination.
