Empower Your Voice: Chief Minister Urges Every Household to Transform DMK Achievements into Votes!

Chief Minister M.K. Stalin proclaimed the Dravida model government’s achievements at a wedding in Pappireddipatti, Dharmapuri district, highlighting Tamil Nadu’s highest Gross State Domestic Product (GSDP) growth in India. Speaking at the event on December 14, 2025, he urged the DMK cadre to communicate these successes to every household in the state to translate them into votes.

Stalin referenced the recent Vellum Tamil Pengal initiative, which, he said, enabled an additional 1.7 million women to benefit from the Kalaingar Magalir Urimai Thogai scheme. He encouraged any eligible woman who has not yet applied for assistance to do so, assuring that further aid would be provided. He cited a Reserve Bank of India report, released the same day, confirming Tamil Nadu’s impressive economic growth despite ongoing challenges.

“As we navigate various troubles, the Dravida model government has excelled,” Stalin stated. He reminded the audience that the DMK’s efforts are crucial for securing voting rights ahead of the upcoming 2026 elections. He expressed confidence that the DMK would secure a seventh consecutive term, allowing the state’s development to progress.

Thol. Thirumavalavan, leader of the Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi (VCK), echoed Stalin’s sentiments, emphasizing the importance of a strong electoral victory for the DMK alliance in 2026 to safeguard Tamil Nadu and its language from external threats. He criticized claims from Union Home Minister Amit Shah regarding potential victories for the NDA in Tamil Nadu and West Bengal, urging the audience to scrutinize these assertions given the NDA’s prior electoral strategies in Bihar and recent municipal elections.

Thirumavalavan noted, “In Tamil Nadu, the DMK has unparalleled strength at the booth level,” asserting that no other party can match their organizational capabilities. He stressed that previous attempts to hamper the DMK’s success have been thwarted by the party’s resilience.

R. Mutharasan, former state secretary of the Communist Party of India (CPI), weighed in on the discourse, remarking on the transient nature of political alliances in Tamil Nadu since the 1967 assembly elections. Though alliances frequently come and go, he praised the ten-year continuity of the current DMK alliance as a significant achievement. Mutharasan confidently projected that, in the upcoming elections, the DMK would prevail once more, reinstating Stalin as Chief Minister.

As the political landscape heats up ahead of the 2026 assembly elections, the DMK’s focus on economic growth, social assistance, and organizational strength is likely to be key themes in their campaign strategy, offering a compelling narrative for voters across Tamil Nadu.

In summary, Stalin’s remarks at the wedding not only celebrated the government’s achievements but also set the stage for a proactive electoral campaign aimed at emphasizing the DMK’s strengths and countering opposition narratives. As the state gears up for the elections, the challenges and strategies articulated by these leaders will be pivotal in shaping public sentiment and voter behavior.
