IECD Celebrates Transformative Achievements at 15th Graduation Ceremony for SUITS Students!
Nine students excelled in various information technology certificate courses under the School-University-Industry Tie Up Scheme (SUITS) during the 15th graduation ceremony held at Bharathidasan University’s Institute for Entrepreneurship and Career Development (IECD) in Tiruchi. This event, celebrated on Saturday, recognized their exceptional performance, with gold medals awarded for excellence in eight IT courses.
A remarkable total of 102,775 students from Classes V to IX across 387 schools statewide participated in the examinations for subjects including Computing Skills, Office Automation, and Programming. The gold medalists included C. Shivani from Cambridge Matriculation Higher Secondary School in Tirunelveli for Computing Skills, D. Iniyaa from Swamy Vivekananda MHSS in Perambalur for Office Automation, and N. Akshaya from Gandhinagar MHSS in Tiruvannamalai for Programming Skills, among others.
The list of gold medal recipients also features A. Gokula Saswanthiga from NSVV MHSS in Dindigul for Programming with C, and two students from Gandhinagar MHSS, S. Hemapriya and M. R. Lohendrajith, both recognized for their achievements in Python. Additional winners included E. Dhuvaraga from Panchayat Union Middle School, Perambalur for Graphic Design, and Vethathiri Maharishi MHSS students V. V. Karthikeyan for Web Design and M. Gowri Shankari for Mobile App and Web Development.
During the ceremony, V. Rajesh Kannan, a committee member of Bharathidasan University, honored 15 outstanding schools that had enrolled at least 300 students in skill development programs and achieved a 100% success rate. “SUITS exemplifies the commitment of BDU toward equipping students with essential tech skills for future employment,” he stated. He emphasized the early advantages of these courses in fostering problem-solving abilities, following instructions, and improving communication skills.
Acknowledging the student achievers and their mentors, A.S. Sathiyaraj, CEO of Dhanalakshmi Tech Solutions in Tiruchengode, and P. Sasikala, principal of Avvai KSR Matric High School in Tiruchengode, also provided their congratulations.
IECD Director E. Ramganesh further articulated the significance of integrating technology into education, stressing its role in preparing students for the challenges of modern jobs. As the SUITS program continues to thrive, it highlights the crucial need for technical acumen, significantly impacting students’ futures even before they enter the workforce.
The ceremony not only celebrated academic achievement but also reinforced the importance of skill development in today’s technology-driven landscape.
