Chinese smartphone manufacturer iQOO launched its flagship smartphone, the iQOO 15, in India on November 26, 2025. This model is notable for being the third smartphone in the region powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, positioning it against competitors like the OnePlus 15 and Realme GT 8 Pro.
The iQOO 15 is the first device from Vivo and iQOO to feature the newly unveiled OriginOS 6, which replaces the previous FuntouchOS and is based on Android 16 right out of the box. It boasts a 6.85-inch Samsung 2K M14 LEAD OLED display that can reach a peak brightness of 6,000 nits and supports a 144 Hz refresh rate, along with Dolby Vision capabilities. Additionally, it holds IP68 and IP69 ratings, indicating excellent water and dust resistance.
Equipped with a substantial 7,000 mAh battery, the iQOO 15 also comes with a 100W fast charger in the package, alongside support for 40W wireless charging. The device features what the company claims to be India’s largest 8K VC cooling system, aimed at enhancing thermal management.
The smartphone runs on the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, which can be paired with up to 16 GB of LPDDR5x Ultra RAM and 512 GB of UFS 4.1 storage. For gaming enthusiasts, the device utilizes a Q3 chip that supports ray tracing and promises an impressive gaming performance. iQOO also commits to providing five years of operating system updates and seven years of security updates for the iQOO 15.
In terms of photography, the iQOO 15 showcases a triple 50 MP camera system. This includes a 50 MP Sony IMX921 VCS main sensor, a 50 MP Sony IMX882 periscope telephoto lens that offers 3x optical zoom and 100x digital zoom, as well as a 50 MP ultrawide camera. A 32 MP front camera is included for high-quality selfies.
The iQOO 15 is available in two editions: the Alpha Edition, which features a matte black finish, and the Legend Edition, adorned with a tri-color pattern logo. The pricing starts at ₹72,999 for the 12GB/256GB variant and goes up to ₹79,999 for the 16GB/512GB variant. Sales will commence on December 1 through Amazon, the iQOO website, Vivo stores, and various retail outlets.
