Bihar CM Nitish Kumar Unveils Ambitious 1 Crore Job Plan Before Elections
Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar announced on Tuesday that the state government plans to provide employment to one crore youth over the next five years. He also criticized the opposition for issues related to law and order and subpar infrastructure.
Speaking at a rally, Kumar highlighted that his government has already secured jobs for 50 lakh youth. “A total of 50 lakh youth have been given government jobs. We have decided that in the next five years we will provide jobs to 1 crore youth,” he stated. Additionally, he emphasized the consistent efforts of his administration towards the state’s development over the past two decades, contrasting it with the poor conditions of law enforcement, education, and infrastructure that preceded his leadership.
Kumar claimed that Bihar has transformed under his guidance, pointing to improvements in roads, electricity, and a safer environment. He recounted how fear once permeated the state, making people hesitant to leave their homes after dark, while societal conflicts were rampant. “Now there is no atmosphere of fear or intimidation,” he affirmed, promoting a prevailing culture of love, brotherhood, and peace.
Looking ahead to the 2025 Bihar Elections, the primary competition will be between the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) and the Mahagathbandhan. The NDA consists of various parties, including the Bharatiya Janata Party, Janata Dal (United), Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas), Hindustani Awam Morcha (Secular), and Rashtriya Lok Morcha. Conversely, the Mahagathbandhan is led by the Rashtriya Janata Dal and includes the Congress party, the Communist Party of India (Marxist-Leninist), and others, along with Prashant Kishor’s Jan Suraaj, which claims all 243 seats in the state.
Polling for the Bihar elections is set for November 6 and 11, with results expected to be announced on November 14.
