Her family reported that the incident took place outside the college campus at approximately 10 PM. “We came here this morning and lodged a complaint with the police. I had heard that the college performed well academically, which is why we sent our daughter to study medicine here,” her father remarked as he expressed concern and disbelief over the incident.

An officer from the New Township Police Station revealed that the victim and her friend had left campus between 8 PM and 8:30 PM. As soon as more information is available, it will be shared.” According to reports, the victim was left alone when three unidentified men approached her, snatching her phone before taking her to a nearby jungle where the assault occurred. In the wake of the incident, a team from the National Commission for Women (NCW) visited the college hospital to meet with both the victim and her family, further highlighting the ongoing attention and urgency surrounding the case.
