Jaiswal’s Stunning 173 Leads India in Command During 2nd Test Day 1 Highlights
Sai Sudharsan expressed his thoughts following his performance and partnership with Yashasvi Jaiswal in the ongoing match. He noted that their collaboration was effective, saying, “It was a good contribution and a good partnership in the middle with me and Jaiswal. Hopefully, we have a longer first innings and then bowl them out twice.”
Sudharsan highlighted that he was not overly focused on scoring runs during his innings, allowing him to play more freely. “I was batting a bit freely in this innings. So, I think I expressed a bit more well. I was taking my time in the middle rather than rushing things,” he reflected. While he acknowledged his accomplishments that day, he admitted to a lingering desire for more, stating, “I wanted that hundred but I am really grateful for what I have done today and I want to score more runs in the future.”
Commenting on Jaiswal, Sudharsan shared his admiration: “It’s so fascinating and thrilling to see him bat, especially from the other end. He plays a lot of fantastic shots and converts good balls into boundaries. It’s pleasing to watch him bat.” He noted that Jaiswal’s style has helped him understand which shots can be effective in scoring. “There is nothing such as competing between us,” he added, emphasizing their mutual support rather than rivalry.
Looking ahead, Sudharsan spoke of the playing conditions, mentioning that the surface is becoming lower and slower as the match progresses. “I think it will turn a bit more from tomorrow. At the same time, the wicket has gone a lot slower. It’s a bit more soft as well. Hopefully from the rough, it will start turning from tomorrow,” he concluded.
