Manipur police apprehended Kshetrimayum Brajamohon Singh, a 53-year-old member of the banned Kangleipak Communist Party, on September 23. He was taken into custody at his residence in Nungoi Makha Leikai, located within the Lamlai Police Station’s jurisdiction. Officials reported that Singh had been actively intimidating local shopkeepers and obstructing government development initiatives in the Imphal East district.
Authorities highlighted that Singh’s actions threatened to shut down various businesses in Lamlai, creating an atmosphere of fear among local entrepreneurs.
