Kaziranga National Park’s Bagori Range Reopening: Don’t Miss It on September 26!
Guwahati: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has announced the reopening schedule for Kaziranga National Park and Tiger Reserve. The Bagori Range (Limited Circuit) will welcome visitors starting September 26, 2025, as part of the state’s efforts to enhance the Puja celebration experience for tourists.
Sarma shared the news on the platform ‘X’, highlighting the park’s significance during the festive season. Alongside the Bagori Range, the Kohora Range (Central Range) is set to reopen in the second week of October. Additionally, the Elephant Safari at the park will resume on November 1.
This reopening is strategically timed with the festive season, allowing tourists to immerse themselves in the natural beauty and rich biodiversity of this UNESCO World Heritage Site. Kaziranga National Park is renowned for its population of the one-horned rhinoceros, attracting nature lovers and wildlife enthusiasts from across the globe.
The park typically remains closed for several months each year due to the monsoon and flooding, making this reopening a signal for the commencement of the tourist season in Assam. Authorities are encouraging visitors to embrace the season and enjoy the flourishing flora and fauna that the park has to offer.
