Initial rumors circulating in the aftermath of Kirk’s death suggested that Israel might be implicated due to his relatively mild criticism of its policies. However, these assertions lack credible evidence, as reported by the Times of Israel.
Netanyahu described Kirk as a “once-in-a-century talent,” commending his fervent advocacy for Israel and noting their previous conversations, including a recent invitation extended to Kirk to visit Israel. Charlie Kirk, 31, was shot dead on September 10 during a speaking engagement at Utah University. Tyler Robinson, the suspected shooter, surrendered to authorities the following evening. In a heartfelt tribute on X, Netanyahu mourned Kirk’s loss, stating, “Charlie Kirk was murdered for speaking truth and defending freedom. A lion-hearted friend of Israel, he fought the lies and stood tall for Judeo-Christian civilization. I spoke to him only two weeks ago and invited him to Israel. Sadly, that visit will not take place.”
Netanyahu emphasized Kirk’s pride in America and his unwavering commitment to free speech, stating, “His boundless pride in America and his valiant belief in free speech will leave a lasting impact. Rest in peace, Charlie Kirk.”
