Discover the Best Maruti Victoris Engine Options: Hybrid to CNG Revolution
Maruti Suzuki has officially launched the Victoris in India, showcasing an impressive array of powertrain options aimed at diverse consumer needs. The new model is available with petrol, strong hybrid, CNG, and even all-wheel-drive (AWD) configurations, providing buyers with a substantial choice.
Under the hood, the Victoris features a 1.5-litre K15C petrol engine that delivers an output of 103 bhp and 139 Nm of torque. Customers can choose from manual or automatic (torque converter) transmission systems. For those prioritizing fuel efficiency, the 1.5-litre strong hybrid version comes equipped with an e-CVT. This innovative hybrid system boasts three driving modes-Eco, Power, and Normal-alongside a pure EV mode for short trips. With a claimed fuel efficiency of 28.65 kmpl, the Victoris ranks as one of the most efficient petrol vehicles in its segment.
Additionally, Maruti Suzuki introduces a CNG variant featuring an underbody CNG tank, a first for the brand. The Victoris S-CNG offers a competitive efficiency of 27.02 km/kg, catering to budget-conscious consumers. For off-road enthusiasts, a version equipped with the ALLGRIP Select all-wheel-drive system and a six-speed automatic transmission is also available. This variant supports multiple terrain modes-Auto, Snow, Sport, and Lock-and includes hill descent control for enhanced performance on rugged landscapes.
In terms of competition, the Victoris faces off against popular models such as the Hyundai Creta and the Kia Seltos, both of which offer a range of petrol and diesel options but lack a CNG variant. Closer competitors include Toyota’s Urban Cruiser Hyryder and the Honda Elevate, with the Hyryder featuring hybrid technology, albeit with no CNG option, while the Elevate is strictly petrol-powered.
With its multifaceted offerings, the Maruti Suzuki Victoris aims to capture a significant share of the growing Indian automotive market, appealing to a wide range of consumers seeking efficiency, performance, and versatility.
