PM Narendra Modi Engages in Key Talks with Fiji’s Sitiveni Rabuka
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to meet with his Fijian counterpart, Sitiveni Rabuka, in New Delhi today as part of a three-day official visit to India. Prime Minister Rabuka arrived in the Indian capital yesterday and was welcomed at the airport by Sukanta Majumdar, Minister of State for Education and Minister of Development of the North Eastern Region. He is accompanied by his wife, Sulueti Rabuka.
The delegation includes Ratu Atonio Lalabalavu, Fiji’s Minister of Health and Medical Services, alongside other senior officials. Yesterday evening, Union Minister JP Nadda also paid a visit to the Fijian dignitary. According to a statement from the Ministry of External Affairs, this marks Prime Minister Rabuka’s first visit to India in his current capacity. During his stay in New Delhi, he is also scheduled to meet with President Droupadi Murmu.
This visit highlights the strong and enduring relationship between India and Fiji. It reinforces the commitment of both nations to enhance bilateral ties across various sectors and to foster closer connections between their peoples.
