NSA & Chinese FM Dialogue: Paving Paths to Peaceful Boundary Solutions
National Security Adviser Ajit Doval and Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi co-chaired the 24th round of the Special Representatives’ Dialogue on the boundary question between India and China today in New Delhi. The External Affairs Ministry reported that discussions focused on de-escalation, delimitation, and boundary affairs. During his visit, Mr. Wang Yi also held bilateral talks with External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar and met with Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
A significant topic raised by the Indian delegation was terrorism, encompassing all forms, including cross-border terrorism. They emphasized that one of the foundational goals of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation is to combat terrorism effectively. Minister Wang Yi acknowledged the importance of prioritizing counter-terrorism efforts, aligning with India’s concerns.
