An incident at Chapar railway station in Assam’s Dhubri district has sparked public outrage and raised security alarms after a flag resembling Pakistan’s national flag was discovered painted on the road within the station area on Thursday.
Local residents and commuters first spotted the painted flag and promptly alerted the authorities. The similarity to the symbol of a country perceived as hostile to India incited anger among the community, with many perceiving the act as a deliberate provocation.
