Controversy Erupts as Pakistan-Like Flag Discovered at Chapar Station
An incident at Chapar railway station in Assam’s Dhubri district has sparked public outrage and raised security alarms after a flag resembling Pakistan’s national flag was discovered painted on the road within the station area on Thursday.
Local residents and commuters first spotted the painted flag and promptly alerted the authorities. The similarity to the symbol of a country perceived as hostile to India incited anger among the community, with many perceiving the act as a deliberate provocation.
In response, a team from Chapar Police Station quickly arrived at the scene, removed the painted flag, and cleaned the area to prevent further escalation. Officials emphasized that the swift cleanup was essential to restore calm and address the public’s concerns.
Police sources disclosed that the situation is being treated with the utmost seriousness. An investigation has been initiated to identify those responsible for the act and determine their intentions. Authorities have pledged that strict action will be taken against anyone found guilty of attempting to incite communal discord or promote anti-national sentiments.
