Shocking Crime: Dentist’s Gruesome Murder of Mother-in-Law Leaves Karnataka’s Tumakuru in Horror
A dentist in Karnataka’s Tumakuru district has been arrested for allegedly murdering his mother-in-law and dismembering her body with the assistance of two accomplices. Police identified the victim as 42-year-old Lakshmi Devi, whose brutal death has shocked the local community.
Authorities report that Dr. Ramachandrappa S, the accused dentist, harbored doubts about Lakshmi Devi’s character, which he believed caused him significant personal embarrassment. This perceived dishonor allegedly fueled his violent actions.
The grim discovery began on August 7 when passersby in Kolala village found several plastic bags containing dismembered body parts along the road. Subsequent investigations revealed a total of 19 pieces of Lakshmi Devi’s body, including her severed head, which helped police confirm her identity. Over the next two days, investigators recovered additional bags containing more body parts, marking a tragic culmination to this case.
Superintendent of Police Ashok K V quickly assembled a team to investigate the murder and locate the suspects. Their efforts led to the arrests of Ramachandrappa and his accomplices, Satish K N and Kiran K S, all residents of Tumakuru. SP Ashok noted that during questioning, the suspects confessed to the crime, revealing that they had dismembered the body to eliminate any evidence linking them to the murder.
Authorities emphasized the calculated nature of the crime, asserting that the trio meticulously planned the disposal of the remains, packing them into plastic covers and discarding them at various locations to complicate the investigation. The police continue to gather evidence as the community grapples with the shocking nature of the alleged crime.
